Se creará Grupo de Operaciones Especiales, GOES, para la zona rural de Cundinamarca

El gobernador del departamento. Nicolás García Bustos, anunció la creación del Grupo de Operaciones Especiales, GOES, para la zona rural del departamento. El Grupo, manifestó García Bustos, permitirá proteger a los campesinos y realizar patrullaje en veredas, acciones que permitirán salvaguardar, de cualquier tipo de delito, a quienes habitan estos sectores en la región.

El anuncio del primer mandatario cundinamarqués se hizo en desarrollo de la ceremonia de transmisión de mando del Comandante de Policía de Cundinamarca, en la que asumió el cargo como nuevo comandante de la Policía el Coronel César Ovidio Castro Guerrero.

“Quiero pedirle al nuevo Comandante de la Policía de Cundinamarca, especialmente, que no dejemos atrás un proyecto muy especial que es el Grupo de Operaciones Especiales Rural, el GOES rural, una policía dedicada a nuestros campesinos, al patrullaje de las veredas, a cuidarlos y protegerlos del abigeato y de cualquier otro tipo de delito que los pueda afectar en sus finanzas y sus ingresos”, manifestó García Bustos.

La propuesta, dijo el Gobernador, es fruto de un análisis a fondo del tema, de donde surge la imperiosa necesidad de trabajar en las zonas rurales mediante una política integral en torno a los campesinos,  que incluye al  Grupo de Operaciones Especiales dedicado  a la ruralidad.

Refiriéndose a la seguridad, García destacó el compromiso de la administración a su cargo de trabajar de la mano con la Policía Departamental para contar con las mejores herramientas en materia de seguridad y reiteró que pronto se contará con un helicóptero Halcón, al servicio, inicialmente, de las dos Sabanas (Centro y Occidente) y de Soacha,  servicio que se haría extensivo a la ciudades  de Fusagasugá y Girardot.

Asimismo, el primer mandatario del departamento reconoció los significativos avances de la región en materia de seguridad. Entre ellos destacó la reducción en homicidios, la más baja en los últimos cuarenta años.

Al respecto, el nuevo Comandante de la Policía, César Ovidio Castro, expresó que “es una tarea que estamos adelantando y verificando la obtención de los recursos y de nuestras capacidades; haremos cumplimiento de esta tarea y esa misión que nos ha puesto el señor Gobernador para trabajar de la mano de todos los cundinamarqueses especialmente en la zona rural”, puntualizó el alto oficial.
