FORO AMBIENTAL MADRIDFueron cerca de ochocientos los estudiantes de diferentes colegios de Madrid los que participaron del Segundo Foro Educativo Ambiental, “Estrategias Ambientales Contra el Cambio Climático”, que se desarrolló en el Auditorio Municipal Hernán Echavarría Olózaga.

Este evento liderado por el Alcalde Municipal, Dr. Giovanni Villarraga Ortiz y el Concejo tuvo la participación de ponentes como la Dra. Luz Fanny Morales Tovar, psicopedagoga de la Corporación Autónoma Regional CAR; el ecólogo, José Roosvelt Hernández de la Corporación Equilibrio Global y el Maestro Norberto Sanfer quien hace parte de la campaña Mundial por el No Calentamiento Global.

Durante la apertura del evento el Alcalde Municipal, Dr. Giovanni Villarraga Ortiz, aprovechó el espacio de generación de conocimiento para socializar con los alumnos y docentes el trabajo que se viene realizando desde la Administración Municipal en favor de la protección y la conservación del medio ambiente con programas y medidas como el Comparendo Ambiental, que empezará a regir en los próximos meses, primero de manera pedagógica y luego de manera pecuniaria.

El Mandatario reiteró la disposición de su Administración para apoyar las iniciativas medio ambientales de las instituciones educativas y de los jóvenes en general del Municipio que tengan un compromiso real con su entorno.

Los especialistas fueron los encargados de llevar a los jóvenes el mensaje urgente de empoderamiento que ha de tener cada individuo con el medio ambiente que lo rodea. Se socializaron además algunas de las estrategias que desde la ciudadanía se pueden adoptar para contribuir con la desaceleración del cambio climático que vive el siglo XXI.

El evento organizado por la Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico y Social dirigida por el Dr. Andrés Tovar Forero y el Área de Fomento y Desarrollo Agropecuario y Ambiental liderado por el Ing. Armando Vargas López, también permitió la donación de cincuenta árboles nativos a cada Institución Educativa que participó del encuentro académico.

Estos encuentros académicos que propicia la Alcaldía Municipal desde sus diferentes dependencias pretenden abrir espacios para consolidar la Transformación Madrid, en miras de alcanzar una mejor calidad de vida de todos sus habitantes y visitantes.
