Carrera San Silvestre de Chía, rendirá homenaje a la atleta Myriam Pulido
La Carrera San Silvestre de Chía, rinde homenaje a la entrenadora y ex atleta Myriam Pulido (Q.E.P.D), quien fue un gran ejemplo para las diferentes generaciones del deporte base nacional y que dejó una huella imborrable entre sus familiares y amigos, ganadora, además, en seis oportunidades de la competencia pedestre de la «Ciudad de la Luna».
Por otra parte la organización de la carrera, en cabeza del IMRD y su director, Aldóver Colorado, destinaron una premiación de 70 millones de pesos, que se entregarán para los corredores de las diferentes categorías (Sub-16, Sub-18. Sub-20, Máster A, Máster B. Popular y Élite).
Los ganadores de la categoría Popular, exclusiva para residentes en Chía recibirán un premio de un millón de pesos y se recompensará a los atletas que terminen entre los 30 primeros lugares. Para el caso de la categoría Élite, los vencedores, tanto en damas como en varones, serán acreedores de un premio de cinco millones de pesos, los segundos recibirán $ 3.000.000; los terceros, $ 2.000.000; los cuartos, $ 1.500.000, y los quintos, $ 1.000.000. En total se premiarán a las 10 mejores en damas y a los 15 en varones.
La programación comenzará el viernes 31 de diciembre, a las 6:20 de la mañana, con la categoría Sub-16 y se darán salidas cada 20 minutos para cerrar con la Élite, a las 10:00 a.m. Al igual que el año pasado, la partida será frente al Coliseo de la Luna, para iniciar el recorrido al circuito de 4,5 kilómetros, que terminará en la Plazoleta Hogabyga.
Los participantes de la categoría Sub-16 harán un recorrido de 2 kilómetros, mientras que los inscritos en las categorías Popular, Máster, Sub-18 y Sub-20 darán una vuelta, y los élites darán dos giros, pero partirán unos metros antes por la carrera 7 (Avenida Constitución), para completar los 10 kilómetros en el sitio de meta.
