Gobernador de Cundinamarca anunció ampliación de Transmilenio en Soacha
El proyecto sería adjudicado en noviembre del 2019 e incrementaría en más del 500% la capacidad de pasajeros.
En el marco del XV Congreso Nacional de la Infraestructura, el gobernador de Cundinamarca, Jorge Rey, anunció la ampliación de Transmilenio en el municipio de Soacha, con el fin de aumentar la capacidad del sistema de 75 mil a 400 mil pasajeros al día.
“Esta es una población que sufre los trancones al ingreso de Bogotá y todas las manifestaciones que se presentan en la Autopista Sur, cuando las frecuencias del sistema no permiten garantizar el servicio”, manifestó el gobernador.
El proyecto contempla la ampliación del sistema a través de la construcción de un patio taller y cinco estaciones adicionales a las ya existentes en la Autopista Sur.
“Con la construcción de cuatro estaciones sencillas, una intermedia y el patio taller más grande del sistema, podrán estar en servicio más de 355 buses articulados y biarticulados para que se mejore notablemente la situación”, añadió Jorge Rey.
Durante el evento, el funcionario expuso las fortalezas del proyecto Regiotram de Occidente, y aseguró que cuenta con los recursos financieros necesarios para su ejecución y con el respaldo del Gobierno Nacional.
Según la Gobernación de Cundinamarca, es posible que en el futuro se amplíe el sistema férreo hacia los municipios ubicados al sur y al norte de Bogotá, como Soacha, Chía y Zipaquirá.
Tanto el Regiotram de Occidente como el proyecto de Transmilenio se encuentran en la operación de crédito, en la cual se analiza la situación del mercado y los riesgos financieros, con el fin de obtener las mejores tasas de financiación para los proyectos.
“De abril a octubre esperamos tener los pliegos definitivos para realizar el proceso licitatorio y en este mismo periodo realizaremos la adjudicación de contratos de construcción y operación”, explicó el Gobernador.
